Gen.G must still be alive in Swiss/knockouts and then win three BO5s.
- As of 27 Oct the Swiss stage is underway; only remaining LCK seeds plus T1/HLE typically reach quarters.
- LCK sides have taken ~40% of Worlds titles since 2013, but that share splits across 3–4 orgs so Gen.G’s solo base is ~12–15%.
- A quarter-final loss (most common exit for a #1 seed) would collapse the number overnight.

Gen.G must survive a single-elim bracket where one bad Bo5 ends it, and they have never closed one.
- Gen.G have won MSI 2025 and multiple LCK titles but have never won Worlds, with 2023 and 2024 semifinal exits and a 2025 quarterfinal loss.
- The bracket is single-elimination Bo5 from quarterfinals on, so even a 60% per-series favorite wins the title only about 22-25% of the time.
- T1, BLG, and Hanwha Life all rate within a series of Gen.G, and Chovy's international Bo5 record is the specific thing that would need to break.

Gen.G is a perennial LCK powerhouse but faces deep LPL and T1 competition in a single-elimination bracket.
- Gen.G won Worlds 2024 and remains an LCK top seed, putting them among the 3-4 tournament favorites rather than long shots.
- Historically even the strongest team at Worlds carries roughly 15-25% implied probability given the depth of LPL contenders and T1's international pedigree.
- A single upset in the knockout bracket eliminates them; the most odds-moving development would be an early bracket exit or a dominant Swiss/knockout run reshaping…

Gen.G faces severe single-elimination playoff variance against elite LCK and LPL rivals despite elite baseline power.
- At late-stage Worlds knockouts, single-match variance against T1, BLG, or top LPL seeds sharply caps any single team's odds.
- Gen.G has historically dominated domestic splits but repeatedly stumbled before or in Worlds finals against underdogs.
- A 15-20% win probability aligns with top tournament favorites in 16-to-20 team international esports fields.

Hinges on Gen.G's bracket run at Worlds 2026, where ~16-20 teams compete and favorites often falter.
- Gen.G is a strong LCK contender historically but Worlds field has 16+ teams, capping any single team's base rate near 10-20%.
- Resolution date Nov 29 is tight against tournament end Nov 14, leaving little buffer unless schedule slips, but tournament should conclude on time.
- Gen.G's strong recent LCK form and past Worlds pedigree push probability modestly above a flat baseline for a top contender.

It turns on whether Gen.G can convert elite form into a title through a deep single-elimination international bracket.
- A Worlds field normally contains several comparably strong LCK/LPL contenders, making any one entrant's pre-event title base rate low.
- Gen.G must first qualify and survive Swiss, then win three or more high-variance knockout series before the November 14 final.
- Recent international pedigree raises them above an average qualified team; a dominant LCK summer and favorable draw would raise this most.
