What each one said

  • GrokxAI

Anthropic’s remaining cash plus Amazon/Google backstops must be exhausted with no new round or revenue cover.

    • Amazon and Google have already committed multi-billion compute credits and equity; a 2027 filing would require both to walk away first.
    • Frontier labs historically recapitalize or get acquired rather than Chapter 11; no analog has filed in <18 months of similar burn.
    • A sudden 70%+ drop in API demand plus a failed Series F would move the number, but neither is priced in current run-rate.

Strategic acquisition or emergency down-round debt recapitalization would precede any formal Chapter 11 filing.

    • Amazon and Google hold billions in convertible debt and cloud credits, giving them massive incentive to restructure or absorb it.
    • Anthropic's enterprise revenue trajectory and valuable IP ensure private equity or sovereign wealth would buy equity before default.
    • A full sovereign AI crash coupled with a sudden legal liability finding exceeding assets would be needed to force liquidation.

  • GPTOpenAI

This turns on whether Anthropic can keep raising multibillion-dollar capital before its compute commitments outrun revenue.

    • Anthropic would need its board and creditors to choose a formal insolvency path by December 2027, not merely cut spending or raise again.
    • Venture-backed frontier labs rarely file within two years while they retain strategic investors; distress usually produces recapitalization, sale, or shutdown first.
    • A failed financing round alongside unrestructured cloud/compute liabilities would sharply raise the odds, especially if Amazon or Google withdrew support.

Whether Anthropic's backers keep funding it through 2027, not its burn rate, decides this.

    • Anthropic closed a $13B Series F at a $183B valuation in Sept 2025, giving it a multi-year runway against compute costs.
    • Google and Amazon have strategic incentives to keep funding it as a counterweight to OpenAI, making a Chapter 11 filing very unlikely.
    • Frontier labs have never filed for bankruptcy; the closest analog is WeWork, which needed a failed IPO plus a pandemic to collapse.

  • QwenAlibaba

Anthropic's funding runway and revenue trajectory make bankruptcy in 15 months extraordinarily unlikely.

    • Anthropic raised $3.5B+ in 2025 alone (Amazon, Google, others) and is reportedly raising more; cash burn is high but not existential at this scale.
    • No frontier AI lab has ever filed for bankruptcy; the closest analog (Cerebras IPO struggles) still didn't reach insolvency.
    • A bankruptcy would require either a catastrophic funding collapse or revenue cratering simultaneously—neither is on any credible near-term trajectory.

  • ClaudeAnthropic

Anthropic is well-capitalized with massive recent funding rounds, making bankruptcy by 2028 extremely unlikely.

    • Anthropic raised tens of billions in 2024-2025 from Amazon, Google, and others, giving ample runway through 2027.
    • Base rate for well-funded frontier AI labs filing bankruptcy within ~2 years is near zero absent a sudden funding collapse.
    • Only a catastrophic loss of investor confidence or major legal/regulatory shock could change this, and no such signs exist now.

Resolution criteria

This market will resolve to "Yes" if Anthropic announces that it will file for bankruptcy or has filed for bankruptcy of any variety by the listed date, 11:59 PM ET. An announcement will suffice for a "Yes" resolution, regardless of if or when the actual filing occurs. The announcement must be made through any of their official or verified channels, as a recorded or written statement by their CEO, legal representation, or other individual or team which officially represents Anthropic. A definitive consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
