Bitcoin drops to $78,000 or lower on Binance between October 5 and October 11, 2026.
Tracks short-term crypto volatility. Resolves if any 1-minute BTC/USDT candle on Binance hits a low of $78,000 or below during the window.
Across 6 frontier models answering independently, the panel thinks this is unlikely: the median is 16%.
They do not agree: Qwen puts it at 72% and DeepSeek at 4%, 68 points apart. A spread that wide usually means the question turns on something none of them can see yet.
Money disagrees. The market sits at 0%, so the models are 16 points more confident than people with cash on the outcome.

BTC is likely already near or below $78k given the Oct 2025 crash trajectory and continued bearish momentum into 2026.
- BTC fell below $100k in late 2025 and has been in a sustained downtrend; current price is likely in the $75-85k range by Oct 2026.
- A 7-day window with 1-minute candle resolution means even a brief wick to $78k counts, making this highly sensitive to any volatility spike.
- If BTC is already below $78k today (Oct 9), this resolves Yes almost immediately; if it's slightly above, normal daily volatility of 2-4% makes a touch likely within 2…

A drop to $78k in the remaining two days requires a severe flash liquidation or broad macroeconomic risk-off cascade.
- Only roughly 48 hours remain in the window, drastically compressing the time for an acute downside move to materialize.
- A sub-$78k touch implies an abrupt breakdown through standard support levels, historically seen in fewer than 25% of 2-day windows.
- A major exchange outage, systemic stablecoin depeg, or sharp geopolitical shock would rapidly flip odds above 60%.

It turns on whether Bitcoin is already within a plausible three-day downside move of $78,000 by October 9.
- Only Binance spot trading must print one 1-minute wick at or below the level before the ET window closes October 11.
- A 1-minute low can be triggered by a brief liquidation-style wick, making this more likely than a sustained close below $78,000.
- Absent a broad risk-off shock, BTC rarely falls roughly 10%+ in the final days of an ordinary week; a sharp equity selloff would raise this most.

A 20%+ crash in the remaining ~60 hours of the window, given it has not printed 78k yet.
- BTC 3-day 20% drawdowns occur roughly once every 2–3 years (2020, 2022, 2024); none has started this week.
- Binance 1m lows must print ≤78k by 23:59 ET 11 Oct; weekend liquidity and no scheduled catalyst make a flash crash the only path.
- A single large liquidation cascade or exchange outage would flip the call; absent that the path of least resistance is range-bound.

Needs ~30%+ crash in remaining 2 days from current BTC levels, which is extremely unlikely.
- Today is Oct 9, leaving only ~2-3 days of the window; BTC would need to fall far below typical current prices (~$110k+ range in late 2026 cycle).
- Base rate for a ~30% drop in 48-72 hours is near zero absent major black-swan event (exchange collapse, regulatory shock).
- No evidence of such a catalyst currently reported; absent breaking news of crisis, probability stays very low.

Only a ~20% one-week crash from current levels would hit $78k, and nothing on the calendar forces that.
- BTC sits well above $78k as of Oct 9, so the move required is a sharp double-digit drawdown inside a 7-day window.
- Base rate for BTC touching a level ~20% below spot within a week is low single digits absent a macro shock or exchange failure.
- A surprise CPI print, ETF outflow cascade, or major liquidation event would be the development that flips this.
